You can stick artificial stone to any surface (wood, metal, brick). Decorative stones do not burn or emit smoke when heated. Therefore, they can be used to decorate fireplaces and stoves. But do not keep the stones constantly under high temperature. Due to constant heating, the dyes change, and the stone will crumble. As a result, the facade or decoration in the house will lose its beautiful appearance. Another advantage of this finishing material is that its reverse side is flat, which means the gluing process is easier. Even each of you can handle this procedure.
Step 2
First level the surface, plaster it, and then apply the glue. If you stick to a wooden surface, then first you need to waterproof the base and attach a metal mesh.
To glue an artificial stone, prepare a cement mortar with glue. Use façade glue or glue designed for tile and stone. If necessary, the size of the stone can be changed - it is easy to cut it with a grinder.
Step 3
There are two ways to glue the facing stone. First, a stone is glued with a jointing joint. If you will glue in this way, glue the stones from each other at a short distance. As a result, you will save material. If you choose the second method - seamless, then glue the stones close to each other.
Step 4
Do not lay out the surface with stones of different textures and colors. Two identical elements should not be placed side by side. Use colored putty or colored sealant for seams. Use corner pieces to cover the corners.
