Before you start modeling, you should clear the clay from various pebbles, sticks and other things. But it is better to buy clay in the store, since its preparation is very laborious.

Next, knead the clay in your hands, and then beat it with a hammer or just with your palms. This will help to avoid the accumulation of air between the clay particles, thus the products will not be prone to cracks.

You need to start sculpting products with large parts, and then move on to smaller ones. First, start sculpting something simple, like a snowman. And do not forget to buy a board, as it will be more convenient and practical to sculpt on it.
Step 4
Blind the body in the form of two balls, one of which is slightly larger. Then proceed to the head. Later, sculpt the likeness of legs, or rather a felt boot, then make a bucket on the head, nose and hands.
Step 5
If the clay is too dry, then add a little water to it, but before that grind it. Drying must not be allowed, as this leads to cracks in the figure.
Step 6
When the figure is ready, it should be thoroughly dried and fired in a muffle oven. After that, decorate the figurine with ceramic paints.
