Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your donor doll. More than others, Soviet copies with thick long synthetic hair are suitable for reflashing your favorite toy. If the transplant area is not too large, then this procedure will not cause much damage to the donor doll. You can also use toys "for throwing" - without limbs, with spoiled faces. If they are not there, grandma's wig will do, if only the length is sufficient. Wash your hair, dry it and comb thoroughly.
Step 2
Remove the head of the hair transplant doll from the body. Carefully remove the remaining strands to prevent damage to the rubber. If the curls are tangled, cut them off. Use a needle or crochet hook to pick up your hair from the inside and pull it out.
Step 3
Cut a thin strand off the donor doll right at the surface of the head. The hair is sewn to the rubber in bundles, you can use only part or all, depending on its volume. Try not to fluff the ends of the cut curl, hold it with your fingers as close to the cut as possible.
Step 4
Insert the cut strand into the eye of the needle. Needles for embroidery are most suitable for the hair transplant procedure for dolls - they have an elongated hole, so they will not do much harm to the rubber head. If individual hairs separate from the strand to the sides, dampen them. It is important that on one side of the eye of the needle, the length of the curl is at least 1 cm.
Step 5
Insert the hair needle from the outside of the doll's head inward. For convenience, use the holes in the rubber left over from the original strands. Start working along the hairline at the back of the neck, the first tufts may not be ideal, so it is better to place them in a less noticeable place. Pull the needle out through the hole in your head that goes around your neck. Gently pull the hair out of the eye of the needle and hold it at the other end.
Step 6
Secure the strand from the inside so that hair does not fall out anymore. To do this, line up the tip extending from the hole on the head and set it on fire with a lighter. Watch closely how the synthetic fiber forms a tight ball as it melts. Once this drop is large enough, put out the fire. Wait for the burnt synthetics to harden. Pull up the hair gently from the outside of the doll's head. The first strand is ready.
Step 7
Continue shaping the hairline of the doll's head, first along the hairline, and then inside this area, fixing the lock each time. When all the work is done, gently tighten the curls again. Put your head around the neck, comb the doll and trim the length of the hair with scissors.
