Step 1
The zipper lock on the jacket is constantly diverging This type of repair is possible if your jacket has a metal zipper. As a rule, the reason for such a breakdown is a malfunction of the "slider". Use an awl to remove the retaining clip at the top of the fastener. Remove the slider. Gently squeeze the "runner" runners with pliers. Insert the slider into place. Lock the restraint bracket.
Step 2
A part of the fastener that is being inserted into the “slider” has come off. Carefully cut off the broken part of the zipper lock using scissors. It is necessary to cut off as close to the lock as possible, leaving the textile base of the zipper. Trim the edge of the fabric and saturate the backing with superglue. Take a tin can and cut it open with metal scissors. Cut a piece of sheet metal to a suitable size. Roll the tin, approximately to the middle, into a roll, leaving a "tail" behind. Make sure the new piece fits well into the zipper slider and snaps into place at the bottom of the lock. Place the piece on the inside of the lock and secure with super glue. Check the lightning is working. Drill two small holes in the tail of the new zipper piece. Take a paper clip, make a staple out of it, and additionally fix the plate to the jacket with this staple. Make sure the lock is working properly.
Step 3
A tooth has fallen out of the zip lock on the jacket Take a needle with a large eye and insert a fishing line into it. Sew 2-3 stitches at the missing tooth. This will allow you to use the clasp for a longer period of time.
Step 4
The "slider" of the lock on the jacket is broken Remove the damaged "slider". Look and remember its number stamped on the back. Purchase the same slider in the accessories department of a fabric store. Place a new zipper slider.
