It is necessary

  • - colored paper;
  • - scissors;
  • - glue;
  • - base (sheet of paper or picture);
  • - pins;
  • - a tool for quilling.

Instructions

Step 1

To make a postcard using the quilling technique, choose a picture - the base on which you will twist the formed ribbons, or take a sheet of cardboard if you want to create a picture yourself.

Step 2

Use pins to mark the outline of the main image on your card, for example, it can be a heart, a flower, a Christmas tree, an animal or a bird. Leave about 5-6 millimeters between the pins. After you have completely marked the outline on your card, carefully apply a thin layer of glue over it.

Step 3

Cut a ribbon 1-1.5 centimeters wide from colored paper, the length of the ribbon should match your image. Next, stick the tape with an edge onto the outline. For the outline, you can choose not colored paper, but corrugated cardboard, it is somewhat denser, and therefore it will perfectly cope with its task. If the tape is too long, you can cut it or twist it at the end.

Step 4

When the outline is made, you can start performing the quilling technique. Cut long strips of colored paper 1 centimeter wide, take a special quilling tool. Wind the first strip of paper onto the tool, leave the finished roll tightly curled or slightly relax, glue the tip of the roll with glue to the base. Make colored rolls from all the paper strips.

Step 5

With a light press, you can change the shape of the rolls. When all the elements to fill the main element are ready, carefully glue them inside the main element of your card. To make the card look interesting, use different colors, even if they are not appropriate. For example, the heart does not have to be completely red, and the Christmas tree is completely green.

Step 6

After all the elements are glued, let them dry, and then remove the pins that served as a support for the outline.

Step 7

The quilling postcard is ready!
