Often, when children draw a portrait of a person, they forget the proportions of the face (or rather, do not pay attention to it) and, in general, can get lost in a blank sheet of paper, not knowing how and where to draw. To do this, you need to help the child, tell about the main steps.

It is necessary

sheet of paper, pencil, eraser, materials for work in color

Instructions

Step 1

First, place a piece of paper or scrapbook vertically. Using a simple pencil, start sketching the portrait. Draw an oval just above the center, this will be the head of the person. Of course, the shape of the head is different for people, but you will draw your child's attention to this only after, when he again shows interest in the portrait.

Step 2

Now sketch out the man's neck and shoulders. Mark the face. This is necessary so that the facial features are "correct" and everything is in its place. Divide your face in half with a vertical line. Now divide the face with two horizontal lines into three parts. On the first, top line, draw the eyebrows. Place the eyes under them in the form of ovals. Draw the iris and pupil in them. You can easily check if the eyes are at the same distance from the center of the face. To do this, use a pencil to measure the distance from the pupil of one eye to the middle of the face, and then from the middle to the other pupil. If necessary, edit the drawing.

Step 3

Next, draw the ears so that they are located between the first and second horizontal lines. From the eyebrows, draw a nose, drawing a line from the eyebrow to the bottom horizontal line on the face. Draw a smile in the lower part of the face.

Step 4

Now you need to come up with a hairstyle for a person and dress him in some kind of costume or dress at the discretion of the child. If someone's portrait is being drawn, then give it the characteristic features and attributes of a person - the shape of the hairstyle, freckles, moles, glasses, earrings and more. Now, with the eraser, you can gently erase the auxiliary lines on the person's face. Add eyelashes as desired, draw fuller lips. Then complete the drawing in color using crayons or paints. Markers are not very suitable for this job, as they immediately leave a clear color that is not subject to correction. The portrait is ready!
