Gorky Park is a popular recreation place for Muscovites. It is pleasant to spend time here, just walking or sunbathing by the pond. You can sit in a cafe or open-air cinema, ride a bike, roller-skate or go down to the river and go on a boat excursion. And this is not all that can be done in Gorky Park.

After an almost complete reconstruction in 2011, Gorky Park was transformed beyond recognition. The administration decided to abandon the attractions, which, after more than 20 years of service, began to pose a danger to people. In their place appeared trendy cafes and an open-air cinema, a landscaped walking area with free sun loungers and hammocks, as well as a souvenir fair for guests of the capital.

The first stage of reconstruction ended in autumn 2011, after which the area of 15,000 sq. M. occupied an artificial ice rink, the largest in Europe. He also became the record holder for the longest skiing time among the open ice rinks. Thanks to the unique design, you can ride it up to a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius.

The park, which is free to enter, offers its guests a range of entertainment, including sports. At the same time, the prices for them are quite reasonable, unlike other similar places. In Neskuchny Sad, tennis courts and sports grounds Reebok crossfit DropBox and Workout 24 were built with all the necessary equipment: barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, exercise equipment, horizontal bars, etc. For fans of intellectual sports there is a chess club "Belaya Ladya".

A playground for beach sports has been equipped, for which several tons of sand were brought to the park. Here you can play volleyball, badminton, football and handball. There are places for sunbathing and relaxation near the pond. In addition, the Olive Beach offers free yoga with an instructor and jazz music performances.

The territory of Gorky Park is almost 100 hectares, so it is very convenient here not only to walk, but also to ride bicycles, roller skates and so-called velomobiles, especially loved by children. For those who do not have their own means of transportation, rental offices work. They are located near the administration building, near the Pionersky pond and in Titovsky proezd.

On Pushkinskaya embankment, in one of the pavilions of the sports center, you can sign up for a running club. The park has two routes 1 and 3 km long. There are fountains with drinking water along each of them, and after running you can take a shower in the club and use the changing room.

For those who are not accustomed to parting with a laptop even during their holidays and like to surf the Internet from time to time, there is free wi-fi access in the park. For a snack or a full meal, you can drop by the Bulka Café or Powerport Tea Point, or order pancakes, kebabs or a giant sandwich at fast food stalls.
