Biography
Artem was born in Yaroslavl on April 8, 1983. He spent his childhood in a small town near Moscow - Zvenigorod. The family of the future director had nothing to do with creativity.

Aksenenko began his directorial career with a thesis. The guy convinced Fedor Bondarchuk to star in his debut. The famous director agreed to work for the young talent for free, only asked to be sure to show him the finished version.
Aksenenko kept his promise and, after successfully defending the short film, showed it to Bondarchuk, who liked the work very much.
At first, the young director decided to shoot serials. At first Aksenenko worked for the Amedia company. As an assistant director, he took part in the filming of the popular TV series “Don't Be Born Beautiful” and the project “Adjutants of Love”.
The new talented guy was noticed on the NTV channel. Aksenenko was invited to the position of director of the film crew of one of the special projects. Artyom was flattered that he was entrusted with directing the program on his own, but soon he had a desire to shoot his own movie.
In 2006, Fyodor Bondarchuk contacted the young director, who remembered Aksenenko well as a talented and ambitious graduate student.
Fedor invited Artyom to take part in his new project - the film "Inhabited Island". The offer was unexpected, but Aksenenko immediately agreed.
According to him, working together with Bondarchuk is an amazing experience for a novice director. It is worth noting that Artyom, as an assistant director, was given a great credit of trust, his duties included a thorough study of all the scenes of the film. Bondarchuk carefully observed and from time to time corrected the work of a subordinate, and also gave him professional advice.
Aksenenko admitted that working with famous actors was not easy, but he managed to find an approach to each artist and soon the participants in the filming process began to trust their young colleague. The film "Inhabited Island" gave a start to the new director in the world of big cinema.
After the end of filming, Aksenenko began to work independently. In the film "Mist" he was a director and screenwriter.
The film received good reviews from critics and audiences, although it was not without comparisons with the film "We are from the future."
After that, there were successful pictures "Executive List", "Happy New Year, Mothers!", "A Man with a Guarantee." In 2013, together with Araik Oganesyan Aksenenko shot the picture "Friends of Friends". The plot talks about how sometimes the destinies of different people are intertwined in an interesting way, and what an unexpected result this can give on New Year's Eve.
A very successful work of Artem Aksenenko was the film “Champions. Faster. Above. Stronger”, released in 2016.
The plot was based on the biographies of famous Russian athletes - Alexander Karelin, Alexander Popov and Svetlana Khorkina. Critics were impressed not so much by the entertainment as by the serious semantic load of the film.
Unfortunately, Artyom's other project - "Eclipse" ("Mystical Game") was not so successful.
