Sergey Mikhailovich Lemokh (Ogurtsov) is a well-known singer and composer in Russia, the leader of the musical groups "Kar-Man" and "CarbonRock" (CarbonRock). Lemokh's first wife, Natalya Ogurtsova, bore him two daughters, Alisa and Lyudmila Ogurtsov. The second wife, Ekaterina Kanaeva, is a member of the Kar-Men group.
Childhood and youth
Sergey was born in 1965 in Moscow. Father Mikhail Ogurtsov was a military man, mother Lyudmila Ogurtsova was a history teacher. Sergei also has an older brother, Alexei Ogurtsov, who works as the head physician in one of the clinics in Moscow. He is 11 years older than Sergei.
Like many military families, the Ogurtsovs often moved from place to place. But Sergei spent most of his childhood and adolescence in the city of Serpukhov near Moscow, where he graduated from a music school in the piano class, while participating in a jazz studio. As a child, he loved to play sports.
He joined the Air Defense Forces and played in the orchestra all the time of his military service.
In 1988 he graduated as a commodity specialist, having received a higher education at the Moscow Cooperative Institute. In addition to his studies, in the early 80s he played keyboards in cafes and pubs, worked as a DJ (at that time - a disc jockey) in the House of Culture, worked as a model in the magazine "Knitting", which was published by his mother. It should be noted here that the career of a model for an artist was not new at that time. At the age of 5, his mother photographed him to demonstrate samples of knitted children's clothing.
Musical career
Sergey chose a career as a singer and performer after the concert of Dmitry Malikov he attended in Gorky Park. After that, already in 1989, Malikov performed the song "Until Tomorrow" in the TV show "New Year's Light". During the performance, Sergei Lemokh plays along with him on the synthesizer.
Subsequently, Lemokh firmly established himself in the musical group of Malikov, working for him on vocals and dancers, and then composing the song "Paris, Paris".
At the end of 1989, Arkady Ukupnik organized the Kar-Men group, which included Lemokh as the first soloist and Titomir as the second, as well as some more promising young people selected by Ukupnik. Initially, the band positioned their style as “exotic-pop”. Malikov did not take part in this, becoming the producer of the Freestyle group and Vadim Kazachenko.
Soon in the Kar-Man collective there was a conflict with Lemokh and Titomir for leadership in the group, after which Titomir began a solo career, and Lemokh became the permanent leader of Kar-Man. Subsequently, Sergei Minaev, when asked about the collapse of the team, said that Lemokh and Titomir were both natural-born leaders, so the rivalry between them was inevitable.
After Titomir left, Kar-Men grew into a large musical and dance group. Ukupnik, Seliverstov and other celebrities participated in its promotion. Kar-Man took part in all music festivals, and even took first place at the St. Petersburg Shlyager-91. In 1995 the band received the Ovation award as the best group of the year.
In the first half of the 90s, Kar-Man was one of the most popular bands in the country. They gathered stadiums of listeners, pirated tapes flew like hot cakes, there was no end to the fans. During the period from 1989 to 2004, Kar-Man recorded 9 albums.
In addition to musical creativity, Lemokh has established himself as a songwriter for Lada Gulkina, Natalia Senchukova, Igor Seliverstov and Lada Dance. He took part in various side projects, starred in commercials, recorded music for animated series and music screensavers for TV programs.
In the second half of the 90s he toured the USA and Germany, recording his solo albums: "Poparis", "King of the Disc", "Back to the Future".
In 2013 he founded the CarbonRock group.
In 2018 he took part in the filming of advertising clips for the Megafon company.
Kar-Man continues to actively record songs and albums, mixes for famous hits, give concerts, and they do not feel a lack of spectators. Sergey explains his pop longevity with his excellent form, active life, regular sports and proper nutrition.
Personal life
He met his first wife Natalia Ogurtsova in the 80s, being an unknown DJ and model. Subsequently, becoming a celebrity, the marriage did not stand the test of fame.
Like many musicians, Sergey was almost constantly on tour. In the mid-90s, the Kar-Man group gave 40 concerts a month. He had no time for a family. This categorically did not suit the young wife. The family idyll ended quietly: without mutual claims and reproaches, without scandals and division of property. In 2014, Natalya Ogurtsova died of cancer.
From his first marriage, Sergei left two daughters - Alisa and Lyudmila. Due to the constant workload, Lemokh almost did not participate in their upbringing.
Alice, however, manages to maintain good relations with her dad and regularly attends his concerts. I tried to work as a DJ for a while, but she didn't like it. Now she works in a large company far from music.
Lyudmila, on the other hand, does not maintain a warm relationship with her father and, according to rumors, has problems with alcohol and risks losing her parental rights. Her personal problems were described in detail in the program "Let them talk."
Currently, Lemokh managed to become a grandfather: he now has two granddaughters. Sergei is no longer as busy as he once was, so he regularly meets with his granddaughters, making up for lost time that he could spend with his children. The eldest granddaughter goes to school, the youngest goes to kindergarten.
The second wife, Ekaterina Kanaeva, was able to make strong friends with the already adult daughters of Lemokh, while absolutely not imposing herself or interfering with their upbringing. There are no children from the second marriage yet, but the spouses are thinking about them.
