When creating computer games, almost all developers, as a rule, equip caches with secrets at the game levels. Moreover, it can be not only weapons, cartridges and a first aid kit, but also just plot twists or funny surprises.
Searching for secrets
So, the search for secrets is worth starting in large and branched levels of the game that occupy a vast playing area. If the game takes place on the rooftops of a city, look at the top of the skyscrapers. Pay particular attention to heaps of air conditioners and ventilation outlets. It is quite possible that in the labyrinth of these structures there may be an inconspicuous door hiding behind a room with weapons or ammunition.
When playing indoors, do not miss any doors, it is possible that there are some rooms behind them. While searching rooms, pay attention to various wardrobes, chests and drawers. If they are locked, try to break them or shoot the lock.
In addition, secrets are often hidden behind paintings, curtains and tapestries. Examining the room in search of secrets, carefully search these objects of art, it happens that behind them there is an inconspicuous door or lever.
The room can often contain windows, balconies or ventilation shafts. You can climb into the latter by jumping on tables or over boxes, and in order to get inside, it is best to sit down and move crouching down into the depths of the duct. Climbing onto a windowsill or balcony, sometimes you can see a fire escape or a concrete canopy, near which you can find something interesting.
When playing outdoors, there is a lot of space for finding secrets. Examine large and branchy trees carefully for surprises hidden in their crown. They usually lie there on thick branches, bird nests and birdhouses.
Fallen trees are also worth taking a good look at. In this case, surprises are arranged in a tree trunk, in a hollow or directly under a lying log.
Another favorite place for secrets for many game developers is rocks and boulders. It is quite possible that the seemingly shapeless pile of stones has a gap leading to a surprise, and weapons or cartridges lie on the flat top of the rock.
Search for "Easter eggs"
"Easter Egg", or in English Easter Egg is a secret that rarely carries a useful game load, but may turn out to be a reference to another work or just a funny joke.
So, in games dedicated to the 3rd Reich, entering the office of the next fascist chief, it is not superfluous to examine the photographs on the walls - among the portraits of Hitler and his associates, portraits of the developers may well be attached.
In games where the action takes place on snow-covered maps, you can inspect frozen water bodies - it happens that there you can find a character from another work frozen into the ice.
Sometimes, on the desks are letters and documents that give a reference to completely different game universes, creating funny paradoxes.
