The Central Museum of Armored Weapons and Equipment of the Russian Federation, which opened in 1972 in Kubinka near Moscow, belongs to the category of historical attractions that many want to see. But not everyone knows exactly how and what to get there. The problem lies in the not very convenient location of one of the three largest tank museums in the world - away from tourist routes and practically in the forest.
It is necessary
- - money;
- - subway token;
- - a ticket for an electric train;
- - driving directions (depending on the transport and the starting point);
- - passport and possibly a special pass.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are going to the museum by public transport from Moscow, you need to arrive at the Belorusskiy Vokzal metro station (ring) and go to the railway station, where you should buy a train ticket to Kubinka-1 (Odintsovsky district). You need trains going in the direction of not only Kubinka, but also Borodino, Gagarin and Mozhaisk. The road to Kubinka takes 65-75 minutes.
Step 2
When you get to Kubinka, look for a minibus # 59 stop going to the 59th kilometer ("Sosnovka") every half hour. Take it to the stop (on demand) "Museum" or "At the Tank". The main identification marks are the IS-3 combat vehicle standing in an open field and the World of Tanks billboard located nearby. Leaving the taxi, walk along the fence, keeping to the left side again, and you will get straight to the ticket office, arranged in a brick house.
Step 3
Upon reaching the train station, you can reach the museum if you want to walk and breathe fresh air, and on foot. Cross the Minsk highway and turn towards Moscow. Landmarks - red arrows. After 20-25 minutes of a leisurely walk, you will surely see a tank on a pedestal. And soon the museum itself.
Step 4
Those who decide to go to the museum by car, again from Moscow, need to follow the Minsk highway. Having reached the 64th kilometer and having seen the tank, do not turn (this is prohibited), but drive to the overpass, where there is a turn. After leaving it, return to the highway, but move in the direction of the capital.
Step 5
After about 200 meters, turn right at the pedestal with the tank and along a narrow country road get to the parking lot at the museum, fenced off, like any military unit, by a long fence. Those wishing to come to the museum from the west need to move along the same Minsk highway and turn only at the overpass. Everything else is identical.
