The picture with horses was created according to the plot, which was taken from the work of the artist Marcia Baldwin and slightly modified.

How to make a painting out of dry wool

It is necessary

  • - fabric (non-woven);
  • - frame with glass;
  • - cardboard (back from the frame);
  • - glue stick (PVA glue);
  • - tweezers;
  • - scissors;
  • - the coat is white, dark brown, brown, light brown, beige (cream), light yellow, ocher yellow, black, gray.

Instructions

Step 1

Print the picture on a color printer of the required size (30 * 40 cm).

Apply a drawing on non-woven fabric (fabric) with a pencil or copy the drawing on tracing paper.

Lightly outline the pattern with wool.

The coat should be pinched off with small tweaks. You can mix the colors in your hands, as it were, by shuffling them, or you can take thin strands and apply one color after another, following the base picture and your perception.

Step 2

Lay out the "marble" background with tweezers, keeping the chaotic character of the "paint strokes".

For the background of the picture, use shades: white, gray, dark brown, light brown and ocher yellow.

Step 3

Gradually move on to laying out the silhouette of the horses themselves. It is better to take thin strands and lay out the wool of a certain color evenly in thin, transparent layers, as if maintaining the direction of the "strokes" and thereby creating the effect of painting, oil or watercolor.

Step 4

After laying out the outlines of the horses' ears and noses, "draw" the mane. To do this, take strands of three colors: dark brown, white or cream, ocher yellow and form them in your hands, twisting them a little from the ends.

Step 5

Mark the eyes and nostrils, making them using the shallow haircut method, first with black wool, and then with white - depict the white point of the pupil.

Place the finished picture in a frame with glass, after gluing the fabric (non-woven) onto the cardboard, smearing it in the corners with an adhesive pencil or PVA glue.
