Despite the fact that in modern toy stores you can choose any toy house for every taste, your child will be much more pleased with the house that you made for him yourself. The house, assembled from real wooden parts, with a porch, windows, a roof, as well as an original interior, will become an excellent and durable toy for your children - they will be able to play in the house for many years.
Instructions
Step 1
Start making a house from the foundation. Remove the surface layer of soil in the yard where the house will be located, place a filter cloth, and put a layer of gravel on top of the cloth. Place the anchor stones in the foundation and place the lower floor joists above them. Use nails to secure four more beams to them, and then install the outer beams.
Step 2
After laying the foundation, proceed to making the frame. Nail the frame posts 50x100 mm to the right places, placing them strictly vertically. Prepare space for windows and doors in the frame. Install solid wood window and door frames.
Step 3
After installing the timber frame posts, assemble and install the rafter beams, supporting them with temporary piles. Reinforce the rafters with plywood on both sides, supporting it for convenience.
Step 4
Install the rafters into the frame using the supports and nail them in. With the rafters in place, build and install the pitched roof end eaves.
Step 5
Now start sheathing the frame of the house with wood, forming the walls. For sheathing, use planks and start sheathing the house from the bottom edge. Nail the floor from the inside of the house to the frame beams.
Step 6
Use soft bituminous shingles to cover the roof to keep rain out, and place sturdy, non-planed boards under the shingles. You can insert 8 mm glass into the windows. Make the door from painted planks based on the frame. Attach the handle to the door at the desired height.
Step 7
You can expand the space of the house by making a terrace and a fence around it. After that, decorative finishing can be started in the house.
