Emmanuelle Riva (real name Paulette Jarmen Riva) is a French theater, film and television actress. Winner of the Venice Film Festival, Cesar, European Film Academy, British Academy and Oscar nominee.
Riva is one of the oldest actresses ever to be nominated for an Oscar. In 2012, when the picture "Love" with her participation was released, she was 85 years old. Paulette Jarmen was born in France in the winter of 1927. His father was an artist, his mother was a seamstress.
The girl spent her childhood in Remiremon, where her passion for creativity began. Already in her school years, she showed great interest in theater and art. The girl dreamed that someday she would definitely become an actress.
After receiving her primary education, the girl helped her mother in sewing for some time. One day she saw an ad for an acting course in Paris and decided to apply for admission.
When she turned 26, Riva went to Paris to devote herself entirely to her acting career, despite the fact that her family did not support her, and her mother was categorically against her departure. The girl entered the Academy of Dramatic Arts (CNSAD).
