There are various liquids that every now and then we have to store, corked in bottles. Often our closures do not meet the requirements, and the wine begins to ferment, and liquids such as gasoline and acetone evaporate or give off unpleasant odors to others.
Instructions
Step 1
So the clogging of bottles when storing homemade wine or champagne occurs by using thick corks softened in hot water, which, after clogging, are tied with a wet cord to avoid a shot if the champagne begins to ferment.
Step 2
The second no less well-known and reliable way to seal bottles is to fill the cork previously inserted into the neck of the bottle with wax or sealing wax. At the same time, the blockage will be reliable, and at the same time it will have a unique, inimitable look. As a rule, after filling with wax, the neck is wrapped with burlap or pieces of any other fabric.
Step 3
A third way to seal a bottle is to use plastic wrap instead of a cap or stopper. To do this, after filling the bottle with the desired liquid, dip the film in alcohol and attach it to the neck of the bottle, pressing the ends down. Wrap the film with twine several times and tie tightly. This method is good for storage for a short period of time.
Step 4
The fourth way is to plug the bottle with candle wax. A reliable and proven method for which you should purchase an ordinary wax candle, melt it and pour the resulting wax liquid on top, about 2-3 cm from the tip of the neck. Let it harden a little and the cork is ready. At the same time, the wax plug will be very tight and practical.
Step 5
Nipple blockage. A fairly simple method, however, it does not allow you to store liquid substances in bottles for a long time. If the nipple is blocked, it is necessary to pour the liquid into the bottle and keep it in an upright position, put on the neck an ordinary baby pacifier, provided for bottles without a hole.
Step 6
You can seal a bottle of liquid with corks carved from wood. Linden, aspen and other soft tree species are perfect for this. In addition to wood, you can use a newspaper. Homemade newspaper corks have been famous for a long time, especially when blocking moonshine. To do this, you need to take a newspaper, wrinkle it and roll up a tight cork. Usually, with this method, the newspaper is slightly dipped in water to make the cork stronger and tighter.
Step 7
Sealing bottles with resin. To do this, you need to take any cork that fits your bottle (plastic, plastic, rubber, cork, etc.), dip it in resin and insert it into the bottle. When solidified, such a cork will be able to hermetically seal the bottle for many years. It should be remembered that with this method, the neck of the bottle must be dry, since the resin does not stick to the wet surface.
Step 8
The eighth way is to seal the bottle with salt. This type of plug is suitable for sealing hot liquids. To do this, pour the liquid, lower the cheesecloth into the neck, add salt, wait until the steam can be absorbed, thereby making the salt dense, apply a second layer of gauze and tie it with twine around the neck several times.
Step 9
Remember, when tying the neck with twine or twine, the thread must first be wetted so that it dries even stronger and tighter.
