Not every experienced hockey player knows how to click a club, sending the puck into the goal with a short and effective blow. Knowing the technique of throwing and regular training will help you master this skill, thanks to which you can make beautiful and well-aimed goals.

It is necessary

  • - short club;
  • - a sheet of iron or plastic;

Instructions

Step 1

Actively train the muscles of the arms and upper shoulder girdle. With a weak torso, effective clicking is almost impossible. Do strength exercises regularly, develop flexibility, stretching and dexterity. Practice side crunches as this movement is key to effective clicking.

Step 2

Begin to practice clicking with your club on solid ground by placing sheets of iron, plastic or chipboard on it. Make a conditional target you are going to aim at. Take a golf club that is 10-15 cm shorter than the usual one. Move back to the optimal distance from the target and start exercising.

Step 3

Swing vigorously. The stick must touch the ground at a distance of 10-20 cm from the puck. During the shot, the hook must be tilted towards the puck to make the shot more accurate. Deliver a short, energetic blow towards the target. After you start to get a click on a hard surface, go to the ice.

Step 4

Hone your clicking skill from multiple directions. First of all, you must learn how to do it in motion. Even if you are already good at static clicking, accuracy will invariably suffer in real-life situations on ice and with little movement. Start small, gradually building up speed and starting distance from the puck.

Step 5

Master the final step in clicking learning - raising your head. Only look at the puck during the swing. Immediately when you click, you must always look at the target, making all other movements automatically.
