Cinematography is a world of miracles that attracts someone less, someone more, but absolutely leaves no one indifferent. Everyone has their favorite films, and, probably, there is no person who would never dream of finding himself in this magical world even for a moment.
Almost every child periodically has a dream - to become an actor, especially after watching the masterpieces of modern cinema, with its fantastic special effects. Some bring this childhood dream into adulthood, and get it done. But not everyone wants to become an actor. There is a category of people who want to create a film on their own, come up with and realize their own worlds and amazing stories that take place in them.
The good news is that today, in order to make a film on your own, it is not at all necessary to be a professional director, to have a lot of money or a rich sponsor (although this will not be superfluous). If you are sure that your own cinema is your dream and vocation, then you should not deny yourself this pleasure. So, let's shoot!
- To begin with, let's decide what we want from our own work. If we are going to make a movie exclusively for home use, or in order to please family and friends, this is one thing. If we understand that with the help of our film we want to take the first step along the professional path, this is a completely different matter.
- The second step is to clearly define the theme of the film, and, accordingly, create a script. Since we are novice filmmakers, we cannot count on the services of professional screenwriters. But do you never know each of us in stock of interesting life experiences, original ideas and moves? Sometimes in the everyday life of a common man in the street such events occur, and such situations occur that venerable scriptwriters never dreamed of. So why not write an awesome script based on them?
- The third factor that cannot be avoided is money. And of course, it must be taken into account from the very beginning. It's good when you have something to implement your most daring ideas, but big money for a good movie is not the most important thing. By the way, in order to make a life-like, exciting, “catchy” film, you don't have to be a millionaire, hire famous actors, or use computer technology. There are wonderful tapes with ridiculously small budgets. An example is the tape "Without witnesses", filmed by Nikita Mikhalkov. The entire action of the film is the story of the relationship between two people who find themselves in the same room. No large-scale filming, no expensive scenery and special effects - and the film is amazing to the core.
To make a film on our own, if desired, is available to each of us, and this is great, because how many interesting, unusual, bright and truly talented ideas can be realized.
