With the help of colored paper applique, you can create exclusive cards for the holidays or unusual pictures that will decorate any interior if you arrange them in a suitable frame.
It is necessary

- - colored cardboard;
- - scissors;
- - White paper;
- - pencil;
- - pencil glue or PVA;
- - transparent gel with glitters;
- - felt-tip pen.
Instructions
Step 1
Draw a pencil sketch of your future work on plain paper. Choose objects with clear boundaries as a motive. The size of the image should correspond to the size of the details of the future applique. Don't color the drawing.
Step 2
Cut out the details of the pattern with scissors. For convenience, sign them to avoid confusion and cut them out of the appropriate colored paper.
Step 3
Circle the white patterns on colored paper. Do not flip the auxiliary paper blanks to avoid a mirror image of the part. Cut out the colored appliqué elements. If the parts will be on top of each other, leave a small allowance on the side that will be under the other element.
Step 4
Check the correct positioning of the appliqué elements on the colored cardboard selected as the main tone. Correct the contours with scissors if necessary.
Step 5
Glue the appliqué elements to the cardboard. Use pencil glue or PVA for this. Apply it to the back surface of the part in a thin layer, press it against the cardboard, slide your fingers from the center to the edges to prevent air bubbles from forming under the colored paper. Start with the larger pieces, which are positioned under the smaller pieces.
Step 6
Trace the outline of the parts with a felt-tip pen if you want to sharpen the boundaries of objects. You can also use a pencil or felt-tip pen to draw small details, such as the legs of insects, birds in the sky.
Step 7
To create volumetric appliqués, prepare the details in advance. You can fold them like a fan, just crush or bend them in half. Apply glue to the part of the part that will be attached to the colored cardboard. Press down gently to avoid crushing the convex part of the element.
Step 8
Use clear glitter gel to accentuate some of the appliqué details if you're making a postcard.
