Among professional artists, it is not customary to use pure color from a can of paint, unless you are a representative of impressionism. To create a real piece of painting, you need to use all the diversity and richness of color.
It is necessary
- -watercolors, gouache, oil;
- -brushes for painting;
- -palette (paper or plastic);
- -a jar with clean water.

Brown belongs to the group of composite colors, that is, it is not a solid color. The standard technique for brown is to mix red and green in equal proportions. However, this is only one of the options for obtaining brown.
Step 2
You can get brown on the palette by mixing orange and gray. In this case, you will get a light brown, dingy color. However, if you add a little red to it, you will see the noble color of ground cinnamon.

If you are painting old yellowed foliage, you can take a red color and add a drop of black to it. Vary the shades of vegetation by adding a little red, burgundy or, conversely, yellow. These noble colors will save your work from possible brown mud.

A famous shade of brown is ocher. If you don't have this in your paint kit, just mix yellow with green (unsaturated) and add pure brown until you get a mustard hue. The ocher should be dirty yellow, dull.
Step 6
Add a soft pink to pure brown and get the color of coffee with milk.
Step 7
The noble chocolate shade can be mixed by dripping a little gold into the brown color.
Step 8
Metallic cold shades are obtained in a mixture of brown with red, brown. Play with the color by mixing in blue or purple.
