Point game, twenty-one, blackjack - all these names characterize one and the same game. This is a very popular card game all over the world. The goal of the game is to score 21 points in the sum of all drawn cards. One to four players (excluding the dealer) can play the "point". The decks are used differently. You can play with two decks of 52 cards each, you can play one. Or you can take a deck of 36 cards. But these are all private rules. And we will deal with the general rules in order to understand how the "point" should be played.
Instructions
Step 1
The seniority of the cards in this game is non-standard:
With “digital” cards, everything is clear: two equals two points, six equals six, nine equals nine, and so on. But with "pictures" everything is different. The jack is worth two points, the queen is three, the king is four, and the ace is 11 points.
Step 2
At the very beginning of the game, the dealer (banker, bank) is determined. As a rule, one card is drawn for this. Whoever has a higher face value is the dealer. The deck is shuffled, a bookmark is made, and the cards are dealt. Each player receives one card from the dealer and makes a bet. The dealer himself does not take the card yet.
Step 3
Bets are being placed. The dealer is the first to place a bet. Usually he puts all the money on the line. Then the other players place their bets in turn so that their total bet does not exceed the dealer's bet.
Step 4
Then the dealer deals one more card to the players. Any of them can ask the dealer for an additional card or several cards, or refuse. In this case, the player cannot collect more than five cards. Here the rules may differ. In some cases, the player simply remains with five cards and the sum of the points on them, and in some cases, he wins immediately if the sum of all five cards does not exceed 21 points.
Step 5
The player who scored 21 points with two cards wins immediately. Sometimes the winner is also the player who scored the so-called "golden point", having received two aces in his hands. Anyone who scored more than 21 points immediately loses his bet, which goes to the dealer. Players who have scored less than 21 points wait for the dealer to draw cards for himself. The player's bet goes to the bank if the dealer has accumulated an amount of points that is greater than or equal to the player's total points. If the dealer scored less, the bet, along with the winnings, goes to the player. At the same time, a restriction is often set for the dealer: if the dealer's total points are less than or equal to 17, he must take at least one more card.
