Instructions

Step 1

The playing field "Baldy" is a square with a side of an odd number of cells, most often 5 * 5 cells. Only two people can participate in the game, however, you can complicate your task by playing several pairs, in which 1 player plays on 2 fields at once. In the middle of the resulting square, you must put any word with the number of letters equal to the number of cells in the line. As a result, you get an even number of free fields, in which the players will in turn enter letters. That is, both players are given equal chances. As a rule, the main word is written by 1 person, and the first word from him is the second.

Step 2

To make a move, you need to add a letter in the cell above or below the main word so that you can read the new word. Moreover, you can read in any direction, but only horizontally and vertically without intersecting letters and without breaking cells. The word can be arbitrarily broken. True, there is one version of "Balda", in which the players are allowed to form words diagonally. But the players need to agree on this in advance.

Step 3

Words that can be written in fields must be well-known, exist in dictionaries. If it is not in the dictionary, then the player can ask another player to accept it. But only if it is a noun in the nominative and singular (if the word exists only in the plural, then it is also possible, for example, scissors, scales). But the second player has the right to decline the request. In the new word, the letter that the player put in is necessarily used. In some cases, it can be agreed that if one player cannot speak about points: 1 letter in a word equals 1 point. The winner is the one who gets the most of them.
