Reversi is a board game very similar to chess or checkers. The positive impact of this game is difficult to overestimate: it develops memory and thinking skills. At the same time, to win at Reversi, you don't have to learn the game for a long time.

Instructions

Step 1

Read the rules of the game. The game uses a standard board, in which 64 cells, that is, an 8x8 field and, accordingly, 64 chips, painted in contrasting colors (usually white and black). The cells of the board are numbered, and the numbering goes from the upper left corner: Latin letters are indicated vertically, and numbers are used horizontally as symbols. Naturally, each player must play with pieces of his own color (either white or black). Before the start of the game, four pieces are placed in the center of the playing board: white on d4 and e5, and black on d5 and e4.

Step 2

Watch other players play. Note that the first move is made by the player with the black pieces, then the one with the white ones. Observe the players' tactics.

Step 3

Start playing. Making your move, place a piece on one of the squares of the board in such a way that between this piece and another piece of the same color, which is already installed on the game board, there is a continuous row of your opponent's pieces. In other words, the exposed row of opponent's pieces must be covered by your pieces. Take your time making the next move. By the way, the "golden rule" of "Reversi" sounds exactly like that: count and do not rush. Of course, the chips that result in the outcome of the game are counted, but still during the game you can count the chips remaining on the board.

Step 4

Determine the tactics of playing the game. The simplest tactic that beginners often use is to capture the corner squares of the game board. A more difficult tactic is limiting the opponent's moves, that is, you create a situation for your opponent so that his choice of moves is limited, which, of course, suits you.
