You are a soccer fan and recently bought a new ball, but it broke. I don't want to throw it away, because the ball is branded and expensive. Then try to sew it up. And you can once again drive the updated sports equipment across the field.

It is necessary

  • -capron threads;
  • -awl;
  • -metallized thread;
  • -tweezers and a needle.

Instructions

Step 1

Use strong and thick threads, nylon will do. You will need an awl and eyelet. Make it yourself, for this take an elastic steel string with a diameter of 0.4 to 0.5 mm. Two centimeters of metal thread will be enough to make the loop. Heat the middle of the string on a candle flame and then bend it in half.

Step 2

Now make a loop handle so that it is convenient to pull the thread. Take a metal rod with a diameter of 8-10 mm and clamp the ends of the string in its middle. To do this, you need an M5 - M6 screw. Pre-drill a hole for the thread. Now widen the loop at the end a little to let the thread pass. Shape the eyelet into a small crochet hook.

Step 3

And directly about the seam itself. Soccer balls are made up of pentagonal patterns with pre-made holes for the threads. One side of the pentagon is one seam. To sew it up, take about fifty centimeters of thread. Hem the ball with an inner seam - the threads should be inside.

Step 4

Sew the torn seams first and make sure they don't come apart further. The knot is usually located near the corner of the pentagon. If it is loose, tie it up. Repeat two to three times.

Step 5

Now pass the loop through this hole. It must go through both holes of the pentagons to be sewn.

Step 6

Insert the end of the thread into the loop and pull it through the holes. The ends of the thread should be equal. Then tie a double knot. Tie a knot so that it is inside the ball.

Step 7

Then insert the eyelet on the right into the next two holes in the seam and pull one end of the thread from left to right. Pull one end of the thread and insert a loop into the same two holes in the seam on the left, then pull the other end of the thread from right to left.

Step 8

Then repeat this process. When you reach the corner of the pentagon, pull the thread tightly by pulling on both ends and tie the knot four times. If the thread remains for the next seam, continue working. If not, cut it off and start sewing again. Do not tighten the last seam tightly, but push the knot with a wooden match inside the ball.
