Initially, the fruits of the wild rose were used in the preparation of medicines. Later, cosmetics, essential oil, rose water and even jam began to be prepared from its petals. At the same time, everyone who wanted to appreciate the richness of biologically active substances contained in the rose knew that the main thing is to dry it correctly. You can also do this at home.

It is necessary

  • - roses
  • - thread
  • - pouch or container for storage
  • - gauze cloth
  • - cardboard box
  • - sand

Instructions

Step 1

Hang the roses upside down. It is advisable to cover them with gauze beforehand to protect them from dust.

Step 2

Wait until the flowers are completely dry and disassemble the buds into petals. On average, for complete drying, roses need 1 to 3 weeks.

Step 3

Fold the resulting mass into a dark bag or jar.

Step 4

Use a sand drying method. Cut off the stem at the base of the bud, leaving about 2.5 cm. Take a small cardboard box. Fill it with sand so that you can place the rose vertically in it. Continue to gently cover the flower with sand, making sure that the petals are intact. After making sure that the entire rose is submerged completely, move the box to a dark room. After 1-3 weeks, you can get it by gently freeing the dried petals from the sand.
