Instructions
Step 1
Before proceeding with the painting using the wet felting technique, it is necessary to draw a sketch of the future painting. Then pick the wool of the right colors, prepare all the necessary materials and start felting the picture.
Step 2
Spread the wool in one layer in one direction on the bubble wrap. Then spread the wool layer in the other direction. This will be the basis of our picture. Then proceed to unfold the background. For it, use wool of different shades of the same color. This will make the background of the wool painting more picturesque. After preparing the background, lay out the individual parts with silk or acrylic fibers.
A painting in the technique of wet felting from wool for beginners should be with a simple pattern and small. So, on a small sample, you will gain experience in creating paintings and take into account all the mistakes.
Step 3
Cover the wool painting with a mosquito net and slightly dampen it with soapy water, then rub lightly. Then continue rubbing for 5 minutes. If there is a lot of moisture, wipe off the excess with a towel.
Flip over to the other side and do the same.
Step 4
Cover the painting on top with plastic wrap, screw it onto a rolling pin and start rolling. As soon as the picture is completely felted, rinse it well in running water and dry it on a soft towel without squeezing. You can iron a picture made of wool with an iron in the "wool" mode.
Insert the wool painting into a frame under glass or without glass, securing it to cardboard.
