The Brush Tool or "Brush" is one of the most essential tools for the work of Photoshop with a large number of custom settings. In particular, the graphics editor allows you to customize the color of the brush. This can be done by choosing a color from the palette, entering a code, or setting a color using a swatch.

Instructions
Step 1
The Brush tool in the graphics editor paints with the color selected as the foreground or foreground color. At the default Photoshop settings, this is black. To change the base color, click on the top of the two colored squares located at the bottom of the tool palette. If you need to change the background color, click on the bottom square.
Step 2
To select a color, click on the area of the opened palette, which is painted in the desired color. This selection method is the most obvious. For color matching, you can enter numerical values for each channel, or select a swatch from the library by clicking the Color Libraries button.
Step 3
If you have already opened a document with a color image in a graphic editor, you can choose one of the colors in the picture to work with a brush. To do this, with the color palette open, move the cursor over the area of the document containing the desired color. The cursor changes to an eyedropper. Click on a fragment of the image with the desired color.
Step 4
Sometimes the authors of Photoshop tutorials talk about applying color, calling it a six-digit code. If you need to get a brush of exactly the color mentioned in the tutorial, paste this code into the bottom field of the color palette.
Step 5
After choosing a color, click on the OK button in the upper right corner of the color palette window.
Step 6
You can select one of the shades present in the open image as a brush color without opening the color palette. To do this, activate the Eyedropper Tool or the Eyedropper and click on a fragment of the picture with the desired color. You can immediately change the selected color to a more suitable one by clicking on another area. The change in the base color can be traced by the change in the color of the square with the foreground color in the tool palette.
Step 7
If you only need two colors to work on an image, set them as foreground and background colors. In order for the brush to start painting with the background color, swap the colors by clicking on the arrow next to the colored squares in the tool palette. The same result will be obtained if you press the X key in the English layout.
