The many different music formats that exist on the Internet, on the one hand, bring undoubted convenience - you can choose any one that suits you best. But sometimes problems also arise: for example, the required file is presented in only one extension, which the player does not read. In this case, the music can be converted.

Instructions
Step 1
Find and download on the Internet a program that allows you to convert music files. Pay attention to the formats with which it works. Usually, programs that are laid out for free use work with the most popular formats. An example of such software would be: "Switch Audio File Conversion".
Step 2
Download the installer from the Switch home page or the link provided in the Advanced section. Find the shortcut on the desktop: "switchsetup", click on it. A user agreement will appear in front of you, which you must accept for the further successful operation of the program. Then click "Next" and then "Finish".
Step 3
In the main window of the program, using the "Add Folder" and "Add File (s)" buttons, select the files you want to convert. Using the Remove button, you can remove the selected file from the list of convertible files. "Output Folder" - the folder into which the program will place already converted files. Click the "Browse" button to select a location on your computer for this folder, or enter the name manually.
Step 4
Use the above buttons to select the desired file or folder for conversion. Then, using the "Output Format" button, specify the parameters of the music file you need at the end of the conversion, select the required format into which you need to remake the music, for example, mp3, then a constant bitrate (at least 192 kb / s), a variable bitrate) it is better not to apply. In the "Channels" section - select the "Joint" option - this is the most optimal number of channels for common modern audio playback devices. After completing these settings, click OK.
Step 5
In the newly appeared main window of the conversion program, click the "Convert" button. Converted files are marked with a green check mark, those in the process of conversion are marked with blue, and a red cross is placed in front of files that cannot be converted for some reason.
