Decoupage is easy

Decoupage Easter eggs with napkins is not as difficult as it seems at first glance. You just need to read carefully, understand and try to do everything right. Decorating eggs with decoupage does not require any special artistic talent. Children can be involved in this event, who will gladly help adults. The principle of decoupage is the selection and sticking of a certain pattern or fragment of a pattern on hard-boiled eggs.

Worth knowing

In this case, drawings from paper napkins will be glued. An adhesive solution is required. You can buy ready-made, for example, Mod Podge. You can cook it yourself, for example, based on starch, flour or egg white. When applying glue (protein), try not to wet the fragments of the drawings too much so that they do not break when leveling them on the egg. It is better to choose napkins with a pattern so that the base is white. This should be especially taken into account if the eggs are white.

Required

  • chicken eggs - your choice
  • egg white - 1 pc.
  • soft brush
  • napkins with various patterns
  • scissors (better for manicure)
  1. Prepare everything you need for decoupage: boil hard-boiled eggs, napkins with different patterns, a soft brush, scissors. Release protein from one egg. Stir well with a fork. It will be used as glue.
  2. Choose napkins with pictures that you like. If the napkins are in several layers, then leave only the napkin that is with the decor.
  3. Cut out a fragment or a whole drawing. If the drawing allows, then it is better to highlight and tear it with your hands, so the drawing will be more convenient and easy to lay down on the egg. You should not deviate from the drawing too far - this can harm the decoupage. If the napkin is textured, that's okay. Subsequently, it will be smoothed out.
  4. It is good if there is an egg holder. Taking an egg and placing it on a stand or holding it in your hand is whichever is more convenient for you. Dip the brush into the protein, which should be mixed well. Apply the protein to the cutout pattern or part of the pattern that is placed on the egg. Using a brush with glue (protein), gently smooth the pattern over the surface. The next picture, if you have several of them, can be pasted a little overlapping the previous one so that the joints are not very visible or glued side by side. The location of the fragments is your desire and imagination.
  5. Place the finished eggs on a wire rack to dry well. Done.

Decorating eggs like this will bring joy and inspiration to your home. Beautiful Easter eggs will not only delight you, but also those to whom you want to give them, as it is customary to do this on Easter.
