The digital distribution service Steam, over and over again acquiring new gadgets, is becoming something of a social network for gamers. And therefore, it is not surprising that playing your favorite Counter Strike, you can add any person to your friend list.
Instructions
Step 1
Press the Shift + Tab key combination to open the Steam menu. Click on the "Player List" button. The new window contains two tabs: "Current game" and "Previous games". If you are currently playing on a server on which there is a contender for getting into your friend list together, open the "Current game" tab. If you've played with this person some time ago, select the Previous Games tab. Look for the nickname of the player you want.
Step 2
To the right of the nickname there will be a button "Profile", click it. This player's Steam profile will open. In the right part of the window, look for the "Actions" panel, in it the "Add to Friends List" button. A new window will appear with the inscription "Player So-and-So has been added to your friends list."
Step 3
Close the player profile and the Current Game and Previous Games tab windows to return to the Steam menu. Click on the "Friends List" button to the left of the "Player List" button. Make sure you are on the Friends tab. Here you can see people you have already added to your friend list. Those who are currently playing something are marked in green (the bottom line indicates what exactly), blue - those who are in the system, gray - those who are not online.
Step 4
Use the mouse wheel to scroll to the bottom of the list. As you can see, the “Invitations” sublist contains the nickname of the person you just invited. This means that he has not yet confirmed his consent. At the moment of confirmation (if it follows), a corresponding window will appear in the lower right corner of the game, and if you are absent at this moment, it will appear when you log in again.
Step 5
If you want to add someone with whom you have not yet crossed in the game, open the list of friends and click the "Add friend" button, which is located at the very bottom of the window. In the next window, the system will prompt you to enter your Steam login or email address of the person you are looking for. To find a player by nickname, click "Search for Steam Community Members", in the new window enter this nickname and click "Search". Further actions are similar to those described above.
