3D images are realistic and beautiful, and the scope of their application is extremely wide. You can draw for your own pleasure, or you can create original cliparts for design, advertising, collages, icons, photomontage and much more. In this article, we will consider the creation of a three-dimensional image using the example of an umbrella, which is easy to draw in Adobe Photoshop, even with initial knowledge of this graphics program.
Instructions
Step 1
To paint, create a 512 by 512 px square document filled with a dark gray RGB color model. Take the Pen tool (pen) and draw a small rectangular area at the bottom of the screen - the handle of the future umbrella.
Step 2
Open the style properties with the created object and add an inner shadow and an inner glow. Set the gradient in the appropriate tab with the desired color transition (for example, from white to yellow, imitating yellow metal), with the Linear parameter.
Step 3
On the pen with the Pencil tool, make horizontal stripes 1 pixel thick, and then create a new layer and hold down the Ctrl key and click on the drawn pen, creating a selection. Move the selection just above the arrow key and fill it with black fill. Then move the selection up one more pixel. Click Delete.
Step 4
Copy the selection and paste on the layer as many times as you want the handle to have stripes. Set the Blending Mode of the layers to Soft Light and set the Opacity to 30%. Set a small shadow in the layer settings.
Step 5
Using the Ellipse tool, draw a small black oval that will give the umbrella handle a cylindrical shape. Apply a few style adjustments to the oval layer - set the shadow, fill with a gradient similar to that of the handle, and then select the oval shape by moving the selection down 1 pixel. Paint the selection with black. Create a shape that is five pixels wide this way. Fill it with a gradient.
Step 6
Detail the umbrella handle with additional effects and remove unnecessary elements that go beyond it.
Step 7
Now draw the long umbrella handle - a long and very narrow rectangle. Fill it with a gradient that simulates the texture of the metal. Add shadow to the handle.
Step 8
After that, start creating the umbrella tent itself. The awning is assembled from several sections. Create a new layer and use the Pen tool to draw a shape that repeats the shape of one of the sections of the umbrella between the knitting needles.
Step 9
Paint the section with the desired color, applying a gradient that highlights the dark and light areas of the picture. Apply an inner shadow to the section of the awning in the layer settings. Set the gradient style to Radial. Repeat the creation of the same panel twice. Then mirror the panels and finish shaping the umbrella awning. Click Flatten image to merge the layers.
Step 10
Now from the Edit menu open Free Transform and click Flip horizontal. Add a shade of the awning to the long handle of the umbrella using the created new layer and a vertical gradient from black to white.
Set the layer blending mode to Multiply.
Step 11
At the top of the umbrella, draw a small, narrow rectangle, fill it with a metallic gradient and add a shadow. It remains to apply the filters Motion blur 30 px and Gaussian blur 1.5 px to the finished image. Your 3D drawing is ready.
