But it will be much easier to use special services and music identifier programs.

Use the free service audiotag.info, which allows you to download an audio file with a piece of music and easily find out the name of the song and the artist. The file can be in almost any format and size. Even a 15-second fragment will be enough for the program to analyze and recognize the composition. The quality of the downloaded file can also be anything: from a noisy low-frequency recording to a copy of a CD track. You can download the excerpt directly from your computer or by specifying the URL of the audio file. The audiotag.info service is also convenient because it has a Russian interface.

Also check out the musipedia.org search engine for music identification, the MusicBrainz service, and the MusicIP Mixer, Tunatic, Midomi Mobile, TrackID, Shazam ID, and MusicID programs. The midomi.com resource even recognizes the melody that you whistle or sing yourself. To identify an unknown music disc, use the freedb.org database and the CDex compatible program.
Step 3
Remember the time and radio station on which the song you are interested in was played. Go to the moskva.fm website, enter these parameters and find the desired song. To make sure of the correctness of the choice, you can listen to the recorded fragment of the radio broadcast and view the text of the found song. This method can only be used by residents of cities where radio stations rebroadcast Moscow air.

Take advantage of the music recognition service provided by many cellular operators. For example, the operator Megafon has a Musical Expert service that allows you to define a composition based on a short fragment. To use it, call the short number 0665, wait for the greeting of the autoinformer and bring the phone speaker to the sound source for 15 seconds. Its quality must be good. After a piece of music is recognized, you will receive an SMS to your phone with information about the name of the song and a link to the page from which you can download the melody to your phone.
