The dog waltz, once written by the great Chopin for his son, has become wildly popular in Russia. If not every dog knows him, then at least every citizen who once went to a music school. Step 2

Play a familiar melody in your head. The dog waltz consists of two sentences - a question and an answer. Each sentence, in turn, consists of three phrases. A dog waltz is played, mainly on black keys. Please note that this is a waltz, so it is written in 3/4 size.

Step 3

Learn the first sentence. First phrase: D-sharp of the second octave, C-sharp of the second octave, F-sharp of the first octave, twice F-sharp of the second octave. Second phrase: exact repetition of the first phrase. Third phrase: re-sharp of the second octave, C-sharp of the second octave, F-sharp of the first octave, F-sharp of the second octave, re-sharp of the first octave, F-sharp of the second octave, C-sharp of the first octave, twice F of the second octave … Play several times.

Step 4

Practice the second sentence. First phrase: D-sharp of the second octave, C-sharp of the second octave, C-sharp of the first octave, twice F of the second octave.
