Instructions

Step 1

First of all, before studying the direct technique of playing the guitar, pay attention to the development of rhythmic and musical ear, without which it is impossible to make music. And of course, take your own instrument seriously.

Step 2

Learn what the elements of your new guitar are, what functions do certain parts of it, how to tune and stretch the strings, how the notes are positioned on the fretboard. Be sure to practice the correct placement of hands on the instrument - for this you can use both online lessons and lessons taken personally from a guitar teacher.

Step 3

Learn to play the classic six-string guitar of foreign production - this is the most optimal and versatile option. All other guitars will be too difficult for a beginner. The guitar should be of high quality - when hitting the strings, it should not emit bounce, even if the strings are clamped at the highest frets.

Step 4

Learn the technique of playing in a seated position with both feet on the floor and one hand resting loosely on top of the guitar body. With your other hand, you will grip the strings on the fretboard. Having taken the correct position, slide your thumb down over the strings without straining your hand.

Step 5

Do not start playing with a fight right away, first develop a brute force technique to improve your finger technique. Play the third, second, third, first, third, second, and third strings alternately.

Step 6

Repeat the brute-force exercise until it is clear, even and beautiful. Once you have mastered the plucking technique, begin to study the chords that are clamped with your left fingers on the fretboard.

Step 7

While playing different chords, keep your left hand and play with your right hand. At the very beginning, you will move your fingers from chord to chord rather slowly, but soon you will be able to quickly change simple chords without stopping playing, and you will hear music.

Step 8

Strive to make the melody you play sound as clear and beautiful as possible. Learn new chords, moving from easy to difficult, and master new playing techniques - not only by brute force, but also by fighting in different rhythms.
