Step 1
Download the free Realtek AC'97 codec from the manufacturer's website. Open the archive and run the setup.exe installation file. During installation, Windows may show a warning from the "System cannot authenticate developer" series. Ignore this message by clicking on the "Continue installation" button.
Step 2
After successfully completing the installation, restart your computer. It's time to use the new driver. To do this, find the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your desktop, right-click on it and select “Playback Devices”.
Step 3
Go to the playback settings menu (item "Settings" or "Configuration"). In the “Advanced” subsection, select the “Remove voice” option and click “Apply”.
Step 4
Done! Now you can have karaoke sessions with your friends, playing instrumental versions of your favorite songs without the original vocals.
