Those who are at least a little familiar with the principles of origami are well aware of how many interesting things can be created from an ordinary sheet of paper. A paper airplane is a very simple craft, but there are many ways to create this item.

It is necessary

  • - paper;
  • - paints.

Instructions

Step 1

To create a paper airplane, take a sheet of plain paper or a sheet of cardboard that is not too thick. You can also use colored paper to make such a model. The ideal shape for a sheet of paper for an airplane is oblong rectangular.

Step 2

Place the paper on a flat surface and fold it in half vertically. Run your fingernail along this curve to indicate a line that will be the vertical axis of symmetry. Unfold the sheet back - now you have a blank for the future paper plane.

Step 3

Next, bend the upper corners on the right and left sides so that they touch the sides on the central vertical axis. If you took a rectangular sheet, then such corners will take up almost a third of the entire sheet. Note that the smaller the angles and, accordingly, the larger the wings of the airplane, the lighter it will be. A light airplane flies a longer distance.

Step 4

Bend the triangle that turned out after folding the corners again so that the result is a semblance of a sealed envelope.

Step 5

Now make the wings of our plane: for this, bend the upper corners that turned out after several operations in the same way as the previous ones. But on the central line they will no longer touch - let at least a small distance remain between the corners. In this way, you will lighten the bow of the paper airplane, making it more mobile. Turn the corners so that you can see the small triangle. Wrap it in the same way, securing the newly folded corners with this triangle.

Step 6

After these operations, bend the plane again along the central axis. Align the wings carefully, and then you can test the new paper "unit" for range and ease of flight. If you are making an airplane out of paper for a child, then if you wish, you can paint or color it.
