If the child cannot determine what he likes best, offer to start learning with crocheting, as he will master this process faster. The loops from the hook will not fall off, as happens with knitting needles, and it is much easier to master the simplest crocheting techniques than knitting needles.

Tell a girl or boy (today they also choose knitting as a hobby) how to choose the right yarn, what threads are, what number of crochet or knitting needles you need to choose so that the loops on the knitted fabric are even.

Remember to praise your child for their efforts, even if they fail. It is important that a person believes in himself and brings the matter to the end. You should not urge the child to do the work faster, but it is also not worth delaying the process, since the interest will disappear, and the child does not want to start all over again.

Explain to the student why it is beneficial to have knitting skills. It is necessary to explain to the child in a form accessible for his age that having learned to knit, he can make gifts to his family on his own, realize his creative plans, and in the future acquire a profession or the possibility of additional income. To whet your child's interest in knitting, buy magazines with photographs, descriptions, and patterns of knitted items. Look at the magazine with your child, ask what he liked the most. Do not overdo it in your desire to teach your child to knit, it is better to say that you have a free hour today to give him a lesson, and next time you can knit with him not earlier than in a couple of days.
