Making various crafts with your own hands perfectly develops imaginative thinking in children, a creative perception of the world and, of course, imagination. The most common method of development in the autumn period is the manufacture of original applications from multi-colored leaves. Children, working with such natural materials, not only develop creatively, but also learn to love the world around them.
So, in order to make a beautiful applique from the leaves, you must first collect the material. To do this, you should visit the park or go out of town to the forest and pick up leaves of all kinds of shapes and colors there. Naturally, you should not take all the leaves in a row, it is better to choose bright, intact leaves.
Next, you need to dry the leaves. To do this, place each leaf separately between the pages of books. If some leaves are slightly wrinkled, then they must first be slightly ironed with an iron. To do this, place them between two notebook sheets and gently iron them with a hot iron.
Now you need to prepare auxiliary materials:
- an album sheet (or a piece of cardboard of the required size);
- scissors;
- glue stick;
- colour pencils.
Next, you need to put an album sheet in front of you, and on the right side of it - leaves. Carefully lay out a previously invented pattern on it with leaves, for example, you can create some animals, flowers, forest, etc. from the leaves.
Once the pattern is ready, you can start gluing it. To do this, you need to lift each leaf separately, grease with glue the places where this very leaf has just been located and carefully glue them into place.
The next step is to outline the pattern with colored pencils (however, you can do without this step).
The applique is ready, now you need to put a sheet of cardboard over the pattern and lightly press down, putting several books on it. Leave for a day, after which it can be removed (this stage is necessary if the application is not created from dry leaves)
