Prepare live bait, it can be small fish of the species that pike usually hunt: crucian carp, roach, perch and others. Zhivtsov can be caught with a fishing rod, but it is better to set a muzzle in advance (a special trap).

Places selected, live bait, now you can put the zherlitsa. It is better to do this at night and check the catch in the morning. Stick a stake into the bank to secure the vents on it. You need to drive in the stake at a slight incline (40-45 degrees) so that its top is located above the water. Overhanging tree or shrub branches can be used. The main thing is that they are strong and not break from the resistance of a strong large pike.
Step 4
Attach the girdle to the top of the stake or to the branches of a bush using strong twine. You need to do this so that the flyer hangs above the surface of the water. Put live bait on the hook. Usually they pierce the back and pass the sting under the skin. Dip the live bait into the water under the hanging girdle. He should swim 20-30 cm from the bottom.
Step 5
Secure the line in the cleft on the flyer so it does not unwind. The zherlitsa is set, and you can move to a new place. For a greater likelihood of getting prey in the morning, you need to put at least 5-10 girders. Now you can safely go home.
Step 6
A pike, seeing a floating live bait, attacks it and grabs it, usually across. Then she swims to the side, at this time the line is pulled out of the cleft and begins to unwind, unnoticed by the predator.
Step 7
The pike stops, unfolds the bait and swallows, when it tries to swim farther than the length of the line, then a hook occurs. The fish is caught. After a short throw and attempts to break free, the pike calmly waits for the angler. It remains to pull her ashore. If the fish is very large, then it must first be tired.
