With the onset of cold weather, it is so interesting to look at funny kids dressed in multi-colored overalls and warm hats with scarves. Children look even more touching when they are wearing unusual hats, for example, with colorful pom-poms or with the ears of animals - bunnies, teddy bears, etc. Bright children's scarves that you can knit for your baby yourself look no less interesting.

It is necessary

  • - knitting needles;
  • - yarn of colors of the rainbow.

Instructions

Step 1

Smooth, soft yarn, such as alpaca, is suitable for a scarf. It is undesirable to use threads such as mohair, despite the fact that the product looks very beautiful. This is because the long fibers of the yarn will be a cause for concern for the baby, becoming an irritant to the skin of the face.

Step 2

The "Rainbow" scarf looks very beautiful, and in bright colors, but not neon shades, otherwise such yarn may contain dyes that are dangerous for the baby. For the product, you will need one skein of yarn of the same texture in all colors of the rainbow - red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue, purple. Their sequence is very easy to remember if you apply the rule of mnemonics - then the order of colors by the first letters of the words will remain in your memory: "Every Hunter Wants to Know Where the Pheasant Sits."

Step 3

The thinner the knitting is, the neater it will look, and the product will be close to the factory one in appearance. Cast on 40 stitches on thin knitting needles and knit the first row according to the scheme "1 front loop, 1 purl loop". Knit the second and subsequent rows according to the picture. This will be a regular 1x1 gum. You can slightly modify it - then you will need to knit the front loop together with the loop of the previous row. In this case, the elastic will be perfect even with minimal knitting experience.

Step 4

Before knitting, decide how wide the colored stripes of the scarf will be. They can be made wide (20-30 rows) or very narrow (4-5 rows). The best option is when the colored "irises" are up to 15 rows. Remember to follow the color sequence that matches the rainbow while working.

Step 5

For a child, there is no need to knit a very long scarf - 120 cm is enough. After knitting, close the loops and make brushes at the ends of the scarf in the same color sequence. It is better to make each brush from 3-5 threads, folded in half, and no more than 5-7 cm long. To get a complete set, you can additionally knit the same mittens and a hat. The hat-cap, decorated with a multi-colored pompom, looks especially interesting.
