Janos Koos is a popular Hungarian entertainer, actor and musician in the past. He was well known to the Soviet public, took part in many programs on music topics, including the "Morning Mail". Was born on November 20, 1937 in Hungary. From an early age he began to show interest in music. He had good vocal abilities, so the singer's career became the main goal for him.

Educated at a music school in the oboe class. Initially, he was engaged in re-singing popular hits at that time, and not performing his own works. For example, the musician sang several compositions by Vico Torriani, a famous singer from Switzerland at that time.

Career and creativity

After graduating from the music school, Janos Koos was a member of the national orchestra "Országos Pénzügyőr Zenekar" for 3 years. This was in 1957-1960. Such work was considered very prestigious.

Having ascertained his abilities, the singer begins his solo career in 1960. In addition, he occasionally performed with the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Express", managed to work in the chamber variety theater. It was there that such compositions as "Camping" and "Miscoda" brought him fame.

In 1966, Janos appears on the big screen. Filmed in several films with Hungarian film stars of that period. He received the love of the Soviet public for his secondary and small role in the film "The Lion Prepares to Jump" (1969). This picture can be called a parody of the James Bond films, popular at the time.

During his huge musical career, which is more than 50 years, Janos Koos has become the author of many music albums, as well as individual compositions. For these merits, he was awarded several awards and prizes. The most beloved works of the public can be considered such songs as "A Girl at the Piano", "Birthday", "Cheerful Grandpa", "I Love You", "Henki-Penki", "Do not think that the world is all yours", "One night”,“Please, you can laugh now”and“Black train”. Especially for the Soviet Union, the composition "Black Train" was covered under the title "People are meeting."

In 1980 he managed to work with the famous comedian and actor Geza Hofi.

In 1995 Janos Koos was awarded the Hungarian Order of Merit. And in 2016 the musician received the Pro Urbe Miskolc award.

Personal life

Back in 1971, Janos Koos connected his life with Charlte Decan, also famous in Hungary. In their union, two children were born: daughter Reka (1973) and son Gergey (1976).

The singer's hobbies include sailing and tennis.
