A silly question can make the ocean of your peace of mind flutter. If you do not establish calm in time, this threatens to turn into a bad mood for you and spoiled relationships.
Instructions
Step 1
There is no one-size-fits-all definition of stupid questions. Some people think silly questions to which they themselves know the answer. Others are rhetorical, the answer to which is not needed by the interlocutor. Still others will find questions that are inappropriate to time and place stupid. It is necessary to act according to the situation, depending on the type of question.
Step 2
Keep calm for a start. Always. Let a work colleague (this bad person) ask about how to work with a fax, when today is the deadline for submitting a tax return. Let a friend on the bus ask how you are when you feel like sleep. Let the neighbor ask how to cook scrambled eggs, and all your thoughts are about an important report. Keep calm. It will allow you to find the right answer to a stupid question.
Step 3
Look closely at the interlocutor. Notice his facial expression, his emotions, look "deep" - what he is feeling now. Try to determine the reason for his question.
Step 4
After determining the reason for the question, the answer pops up in the mind, which the interlocutor expects, or, conversely, which does not wait. - Perhaps a person needs support and he draws attention to himself with a question. In this situation, the interlocutor wants to hear a definite answer. Give him what he expects, but without a sense of superiority, and he will calm down. If he does not change his behavior, then say honestly and directly: "I have no time", "I want to sleep." Don't be afraid to say it. The main thing is to look in the eyes. So that he sees your decisive attitude. - The question can be rhetorical, to maintain a conversation, or in order to unbalance. In the first case, shortly answer something neutral, in passing. Do not delve into the essence of the issue and do not break away from your business, no longer listening to the interlocutor. In the second case, look the interlocutor directly in the eyes and ask: "Why do you want to know this?" - If the interlocutor asks a question that you do not want to answer, joke so that he has no reason to ask questions. “I don’t know how to cook”, “I don’t like eggs”.
Step 5
Try to look at the situation that has arisen easily and with humor, without a sense of superiority, while being attentive to the interlocutor. Don't forget about inner peace. Try to remember these rules when you hear a stupid question.
