There are several versions of the origin of the card game "Mafia". According to the most popular of them, the game was invented in 1986 by Dmitry Davydov, a student of the psychology department of Moscow State University, and quickly gained popularity. It is not surprising, because the Mafia is a great way to relax with friends and learn to guess the emotions of other people.

Instructions
Step 1
There are several variations of the game, and each company can edit the rules to their liking. However, there are fundamental points that never change. A presenter is selected who will be able to control the attention of the company and not get confused in the playing roles. He deals the cards to the players, they get to know their roles and remove the cards from the table. It is important at this moment not to show your emotions, so that none of the neighbors would guess which of the cards you got. The bottom line is that players are divided into two clans - mafiosi and civilians. Mafia knows each other by sight, and civilians can only guess who is who. According to the original version of the game, there are only two kinds of roles, the mafia and the civilian. In the future, the game was improved, and many additional cards appeared.
Step 2
After the players have familiarized themselves with their roles, the host announces that night is coming. Everyone closes their eyes, the mafia wakes up and gets to know each other. The further task of the mafiosi will be to kill civilians. At night, with glances and gestures, they decide which of the players they will get rid of that night, which the host will have to report when morning comes. Everyone who got the mafia card should especially carefully monitor their behavior, not make unnecessary sounds, move less so that the players sitting next to them do not guess that he did not sleep that night. It is beneficial for the mafioso to remove the most active players and those who managed to suspect someone from the mafiosi of involvement in the murder.
Step 3
After the host announces that morning is coming and who was killed that night, all players, through active discussion and open voting, must decide who will be imprisoned. The task of the mafia is to divert from itself all the suspicions of civilians, whose task, in turn, is much more difficult - it is necessary to determine which of the participants is lying, which of them has changed behavior, who looks suspicious or smiles too cunningly. After the vote count is complete, the host announces what the role of the imprisoned player was, and night falls again. There are two options for completing the game. The victory of civilians is declared in the event that all the mafiosi were imprisoned and the city can sleep peacefully. If the number of mafiosi remaining in the game equals the number of civilians, the victory of the mafia is declared.
