In fact, now you can buy any book, but this is not available to everyone either due to lack of money or because of the remoteness of stores. The only option remains to make a development book for the child yourself. And in this you are limited only by your own imagination. The following describes the option of creating a tissue book that develops fine motor skills and tactile sensations.
It is necessary
- Scraps of dense plain fabric (can be of different colors) for won
- Pieces of different fabrics for all kinds of applications and toys of all colors and textures
- A piece of velor or terry towel, size 15x15
- Several pieces of faux fur
- Not a large skein of fishing line, 20-30 cm
- Red and green yarn
- 20-30 cm thin cord
- A small piece of organza
- Invisible hardening
- Colored threads
- 10 large beads
- Buttons, beads of different colors and sizes
- 2-3 cm of any elastic band
Instructions
Step 1
Let it be 15x15 cm - the size of the page and the book will have 4 pages. Cut out the sheets: 4 squares with a side of 16-17 cm (with a margin for seams) of dense plain fabric and 2 squares of thick cardboard with a side of 15 cm. You can not insert cardboard inside the pages, but without it the pages in the book will not be dense, bend, the child may not be comfortable playing with it.
Step 2
Take one of the blanks. From another fabric, preferably different in texture from the main one, cut 4 rectangular pieces, 6 cm long and 3 cm wide, and 1 large rectangle with sides 6 and 14 cm. Sew a frame from small rectangles, and fold each piece before sewing to another in half along the long side. Sew the frame to the base approximately in the middle, sew only the outer edge of the frame. Fold the large rectangle in half along the wide side, sew along the side seams and turn inside out. Sew open edge to the right side of the frame. The result is a door covering the frame. Sew an elastic loop in the center of the remaining free side, and a button to the frame. Make sure that the buttonhole and button are comparable in size.
Step 3
Now take yarn: red and green. First, we make a red pompom with a diameter of 3 cm and sew it in the center of the page, so that in the end it would be covered with a door. Sew a green leaf of fabric to it from above. From green yarn, make three pompoms, 1.5 cm in diameter or less. Sew them into a chain. Sew beads-eyes and a piece of red fabric - a tongue to one of the extreme pom-poms, and sew the other end into the lower right corner under the frame and hide the whole worm under it. The first time the child will most likely need to show where the worm lives, but then the baby will take it out and hide it himself. The first page is ready, although if you wish, you can also decorate it with flowers, leaves or other elements.
Step 4
It is better to sew the second and third pages together at once, since a large general application will be made on them. Take a piece of velor or terrycloth towel, cut out a 10cm circle and sew it to the center of the third (left) page. Sew on two black or yellow transparent buttons instead of eyes, and sew a pink button in place of the nose. Make the ears out of faux fur. Cut out two small ovals (2x1 cm) from it, take a needle and a thin fishing line, insert the fishing line into the eye of the needle, tie a knot and drag it through one of the fur ovals. Cut the line, leaving an antennae 3-4 cm long, in the same way make several antennae in each oval, and then sew them just below the nose, imitating a cat's face. Sew on the red fabric tongue.
Step 5
Cut a long strip of faux fur, one end should be straight, the other rounded. This will be a cat's foot, sew it from the cat's face and across the entire third page.
Cut another rectangle out of the fabric, cut one of the corners in a semicircle. Sew the remaining right corner to the corner of the third page, sew the second side too, but not completely, so that you get a pocket.
Now cut out two pieces from the fabric in the form of droplets, 4 cm long, sew together, leaving a small hole, fill with fabric scraps and finally sew, sew on the eyes, ears and tail. Sew the end of the tail inside the pocket so that the mouse is not lost. Now the child can save the mouse from the cat.
Step 6
Last page. Cut out two blanks in the shape of a sheet from two fabrics of different colors (ideally light and dark green), sew them together and sew them diagonally to the last page by one edge, so that the bottom of the page is covered with this sheet and it can be lifted … Sew one end of the cord to the center of the sheet. Now put the old invisibility on it and wrap it with colored threads, sew two transparent round buttons to the upper part, and 4 oblong pieces of organza to the back. Sew the other end of the cord into the upper right corner of the page. A dragonfly can fly to and from a leaf.
Step 7
Sew one end of another cord under the sheet in the upper left corner. Put 10 large beads, preferably transparent, on it. Fix the other end of the cord in the lower right corner. The child can count how many dew droplets have accumulated under the leaf.
Step 8
Now fold the pages in pairs, right side in, sew on three sides and turn inside out. Insert the previously prepared cardboard squares inside the pages. Fold them together with page spines and sew. It turned out to be a small, but very entertaining and useful book.
Step 9
If you wish, you can make a cover for the book. To do this, cut out 4 more squares from any fabric, as well as 2 cardboard squares, all the same with a side of 15x15 cm. Combine the fabric squares in pairs, face to face, sew on three sides and turn onto the front, insert squares from cardboard and sew the cover to your book: one square in front of the first page, the second after the last.
