Instructions

Step 1

Afisha itself states that the ticket can be returned by June 1, however, according to Russian law, you can return the ticket at any time before the start of the show. It doesn't matter if you have good reasons or not. Also, the organizers have no right to charge you any commission for the return of tickets. If they do not return the full amount, then they must prove with documents that this money has already been spent on organizing the event itself or paying for any third-party services.

Step 2

Contact the organization where you purchased your tickets. In particular, several companies are involved in the sale of tickets for this particular festival. If you purchased your ticket on the website, write an email to the administrators to find out how you can get your money back.

Step 3

Come to the office of the company where you bought the tickets, or to the ticket office. Take your passport with you. Please indicate your intention to return tickets. If you are denied this or they try to return only a part of the amount, write a statement addressed to the company's management, demanding reimbursement. Make a copy of it for yourself. Please note that the cost of delivery of tickets, if any, will not be refunded to you.

Step 4

If there is no response to your request, send your complaint and a copy of the application to the Ministry of Culture. Its mailing address is Moscow, 125993, Maly Gnezdnikovsky lane, 7/6, buildings 1, 2. You can send a message through the organization's website. You can also contact the management of the Afisha magazine directly. It may be easier to find a common language with them than with ticket offices.

Step 5

Contact your local consumer protection service. There, lawyers will be able to additionally advise you on how best to act in this situation.
