Keep track of your character's reputation. This is an extremely important aspect of the game - it determines the attitude of other states and nations towards you. Pirates are a separate caste: gaining authority among them is not the best idea, because the corsairs have few allies.

Start the game with trading. At the first levels, your character is so weak that it will not be possible to board even a small ship - you will need money for an expensive ship and a good crew, and the easiest way to accumulate a small fortune is to trade. However, you can use other methods: check the chests in the residence of the governor and the usurer; kill skeletons in caves; ransack the pockets of captains in taverns.

Don't forget about your officers. They may turn out to be much more useful than at first glance: for example, at the first levels of the "trade" skill, it is important to set an officer with a developed skill to the role of "treasurer" - thereby you will increase your income by one and a half to two times. In addition, an important position is the "Boardman", a person who will always be with you. It is best to choose the officer with the maximum attack level for this role.
Step 4
The most useful skill is "navigation" because naval battles bring the most experience. In addition, do not forget about the regular change of the ship: it is he who determines the "ceiling" of the level for your character.

Buy treasure maps. You can buy them at the bar - the price will vary from 7 to 30 thousand gold. You can check the card with the "F2" key: if it turns out to be fake, the pirate who sold it to you will return all the money with proper pressure. However, if the map is real, it is necessary to check it: in the cache you will find very valuable things, and on the way you will collect enough experience on killing skeletons. Treasures, as a rule, provide serious bonuses: for example, skulls of different colors increase the character's skills by 20-30% (it is best to give repeated copies to boardmen).
