This original candlestick for several candles from cans will not allow you to light up the space well, but it will create an atmosphere of romance or mystery, depending on your desires. The trick is in the patterns.
To make such a candlestick, you will need a tin can, an awl or a large nail (or scissors for metal), paint. It is advisable that the jar is not very low (choose jars from under canned peas, corn, champignons, usually jars from under them resemble glasses in shape).
Make a candlestick this way. Select the drawing to be on the tin can. You can cut out a heart (with metal scissors), as in the first photo. An equally effective option is a pattern of dots.
Punch holes on the outside with a thick awl or nail. To avoid crushing the jar, do not press too hard. Dots can be used to depict the same heart or an abstract pattern of squares, circles, zigzags, stars.
After applying the pattern, paint the outside of the jar with spray paint. Cover the work area with newspapers or plastic wrap before spraying to avoid splashing paint on the items you need.
If you are making a table candlestick, then the work is finished. If you want to hang a lamp in the garden or on the balcony, make a handle out of wire (you need to attach it to the jar before painting).
Put a floating candle inside the jar (a short candle wrapped in foil) or put a short ordinary candle (to keep it tight, drop melted wax on the bottom of the jar and put a candle on this drop). It is important that the candle light is located slightly below the middle of the jar.
