Instructions
Step 1
Find a cardboard box that will fit your mug. If such a box is not at home, then you can purchase it at some gift or decor store. The box can be of any shape, but for a mug it is better to use a rectangular or square box. Measure the dimensions of all sides of the box to calculate the amount of wrapping material.
Step 2
Choose wrapping paper or fabric to wrap the box. Wrapping paper can be purchased at the store. Choose the color and texture of the paper to your taste and depending on who the gift is intended for. For official gifts, it is better to choose paper of a plain, dull color; for relatives and friends, choose bright, delicate, cheerful colors. Instead of paper, you can wrap the box in a cloth. Better to pick up a single color. Rough linen or burlap will look good.
Step 3
To wrap the box with cloth or paper, you will need double-sided tape or a stapler. Cut a piece of paper or fabric to the correct size. Carefully wrap the box and secure paper or cloth from either side of the box with double-sided tape. Tuck the wrapping material over the top and bottom of the box and secure with duct tape so that it is not visible from the outside. You can secure the paper neatly with a stapler. The paper or cloth should fit snugly around the box.
Step 4
If you wrapped the box with paper, then pick up a wide ribbon to match. Tie a ribbon around the box and tie it with a dainty little bow. If you used fabric, then take beads or beads, flowers, hearts, a decorative butterfly for decoration. Think of them as some kind of drawing or composition. Gently glue the parts with super glue to the fabric. You can use live or dried flowers or spikelets for decoration. They can also be glued with super glue. Gold or silver decorative stars, letters, hearts will look on a plain fabric. You can decorate the fabric with a lettering made with acrylic fabric paints. These paints can be applied with a brush from a jar; they do not need to be diluted with water or solvents. Show your imagination, and your efforts will not go unnoticed.
