Step 1
Having bought new plastic skis in the store, do not rush to immediately try them in action, because first you need to make special preparation of the skis. Before the first skiing, skis need to be looped and processed.
Step 2
Processing is carried out to a state of complete smoothness, after which you take a rag (it can be soaked in turpentine) and wipe the treated surface of the skis.
Step 3
In the area of the cargo part of the skis (40-50 cm), you need to lubricate with paraffin, you can also use a gel specially designed for this. Paraffin must be applied at room temperature.
Step 4
After applying paraffin or gel, it must be smoothed out with an iron. Please note that the sole temperature must be over 200 degrees. Next, let it cool for two hours, and then remove the excess paraffin using a special plastic cycle, remove it so that the paraffin remains in the pores of the plastic surface.
Step 5
Next, wipe the skis with a synthetic cloth, and you can start the lubrication process. Finish off with a brass brush over the skis several times.
