Ancient legends say that a dream catcher delays all nightmares, allowing only pleasant and good dreams to pass to the sleeper. Such an amulet can be made at home.
It is necessary
- Wooden hoop, for example, part of a hoop;
- strong thick threads; leather lace with a diameter of 2mm, 12m, or floss; feathers; beads; scissors, quick-drying transparent glue; clothespins.
Instructions
Step 1
The wooden hoop must be tightly wrapped with a cord. To do this, stepping back 15-20 centimeters from the edge of the cord, fix it by tying it around the hoop and tie a knot. Next, you need to braid the entire hoop with a long cord. Try to keep the cord tight. When the hoop is completely braided, tie the ends in a knot.
Step 2
Now you need to take a thick thread and tie it to the hoop next to the knot from the cord, leaving the tip 5-10 cm long. Draw the other end around the hoop from back to front through the resulting loops. Loops for convenience can be fixed with clothespins.
Step 3
Second row of weaving. Pass the thread through the center of all the loops of the first row. Add beads to the thread. To keep the beads in place, put a drop of glue on the string and pass the bead into place. Make the required number of rows of threads, tie the end of the thread with a knot. Remove your clothespins. You can mask the knot with a bead by gluing it with glue. Thus, in the center of the hoop you get a spider web of threads.
Step 4
At the very beginning of the work, we left a piece of cord equal to 15 cm. We need 3 of these laces. From the remaining skein of the cord, you need to cut off 2 pieces of 15 cm each, tie on a hoop at an equal distance from the first cord.
You will have 3 tails. Each needs to be decorated with beads, 1 feather should be tied to the ends.
Step 5
You can hang the dream catcher by the remaining piece of thread from which the cobweb was woven. The dream catcher is ready. It is best to place it in the bedroom.
