For a novice player, Counter-Strike's software "stuffing" is a secret behind seven seals, and an opponent using the simplest console commands is a cheater and a connoisseur of codes. Meanwhile, these "codes" are quite accessible to the majority, the main thing is just to follow some rules.

Step 1
Start the Counter-Strike game, select a map, load it and select a team. Then press the "~" button on your keyboard. This button calls the game console - a window for displaying system messages and receiving commands, working on a text interface. As the definition suggests, special commands are entered into the console to change the game and are sometimes referred to as "codes".
Step 2
Console commands are special game entries entered into the console via the keyboard without quotation marks and strictly in the form in which they were entered into the game system by the developers. To enter a console command, for example, bot_add_ct, you need to enter this particular combination of characters into the console and press the Enter button.
The "~" button not only brings up the console, but also removes it from the game screen, allowing you to continue the battle without visual interference. Often console commands require an additional parameter to be entered after a space. So, for example, after the bot_chatter command, you must put a space and enter the word off, minimal, radio or normal. This command determines the chatter parameters of the bots, and one of the additional options is the number of words used per game (no words, minimal conversations, radio conversations, or normal level, respectively).
Step 3
Console commands for Counter-Strike can be divided into several categories. This is, first of all, control and configuration of the game, adjusting sound parameters, adjusting the mouse and keyboard, adjusting the visual range of the game, adjusting video parameters, adjusting the Internet connection, adjusting the game server, microphone and recording options, as well as battle options. Each section provides more than two dozen special commands.

A complete list of console commands can be found in a special booklet attached to the licensed version of Counter-Strike 1.6. If you are a computer pirate and have downloaded an unlicensed version of the game, then finding a complete list of such "codes" will not be difficult for you.
